Palm’s Treo 700w and Treo 700wx for Verizon Wireless have both received a firmware update that is now available to users. This update takes both device a step forward to the Windows Mobile 6 operating system. That’s right, 6, not the latest and greatest 6.1. Most of the benefits of Windows Mobile 6 were of the usability variety, though, so the Treo users coming from Window Mobile 5 should be pleased overall with the upgrade, even if they are still left a bit behind the curve.
