RIM’s co-CEO Mike Lazaridis has confirmed that the company’s BlackBerry Bold 9000 flagship smartphone is still in AT&T’s certification process. Back in May the company had said that the device would be available in the U.S. in the summer time frame, but so far that has not proven to be true.
The delay seems to be partly based on the fact that both RIM and AT&T both appear intent to avoid the missteps that plagued the iPhone 3G launch earlier this year.
