For Sharp’s domestic carrier partners, solar power is all the rage right now, and now NTT DoCoMo is hopping up on the exceptionally eco-friendly bandwagon with the SH-08A. Bearing the same SOLAR HYBRID badging as its sister device on SoftBank, the 936SH, the SH-08A flip features IPX5 / IPX7 compliance for splashes and submersion up to a meter, an 8 megapixel camera, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, and — of course — a wide VGA display. You’ll get one minute of talk time for every 10 minutes of time spent baking in the sun, which certainly isn’t bad when you’re in a pinch and there’s not a wall outlet for miles. The SH-08A will go on display at Wireless Japan this month with sales following on in September.

Sharp unveiled its 8M camera phone SH-01A in Japan market through NTT DoCoMo. Adopting a 3.3-inch display with 480*854 resolution, the SH-01A mobil phone supports up to ISO 2500 and face detection function for five persons. Other features included 1-Seg, GPS, Bluetooth connectivity, 7.2Mbps 3G network and up to 8GB of micro SD card. Measuring 111*50*16.6mm at 145g, the phone comes with four different colors including blue, black, white and pink.
DoCoMo announced today during a press conference over 22 new models… Yeah 22 ! Now we will not cover them all since it will be definitively a waist of your time and ours. But we stumble upon the SH-04A, an HTC Touch Pro lookalike device from Sharp minus the Windows Mobile flavor.
Our device has obviously an proprietary OS (Based on a Symbian one), with a 5.2Mpix Camera, HSDPA, 1Seg TV Tuner, GPS, Mobile e-Wallet, Bluetooth with A2DP with Virtual 5.1Ch Dolby Mobile, a 3D UI and a nice full QWERTY keyboard.
The Screen of this SH-04A has a Wide VGA resolution (480×854) on a 3.5” ASV Sharp screen. Available in 3 different colors our phone has a size of 114 x 54 x 16.3mm for a weight of 140g.
